November's Lost and Found

Hello again!  Last month's post went over with some success, but I'm holding out hope that as the word gets out, I'll see a greater turn around with returning these lost items to their rightful owners.  Below, you'll find the items that were still unclaimed when I retrieved them on Nov. 12.  It is extremely likely that there are items at the school as I type this. Those items, if unclaimed, will be collected in December.
If you missed last months post, please take a moment to visit it as I explain how I'm working with the lost and found items and what happens when they simply aren't claimed.

Please email me with the description of the bottle you're claiming.

If any of these items belong to you, please send an email to, rachel.hause@gmail.com
Be sure to include the item number, child's  name and their teacher, so I know who to send it in to.

As, I stated in last months post, I am looking for someone to come alongside me and help with the lost and found at the middle school. All of the above items are from the elem. school.  I pick up the pile once a month, the night of the CC meeting.

I once was lost but now I'm found

Greetings, 7Gen family and friends!  I'm hoping to give the lost and found every possible chance of being reunited with the rightful owners. Using Facebook has allowed for some success, but I know that many of our community members are not a part of the groups there and are not seeing the items being posted there.  It's my hope that using a more public venue will allow a higher success rate.

To inform you all, I collect the lost and found (l/f) at the elementary school, only. I would love to have someone connected to the middle school, come along side me and help with the l/f there. If you're interested in helping, please contact me at rachel.hause@gmail.com

HOW IT WORKS

Once a month, I collect the mound of clothing, cups and other odds and ends, from the elementary school. This is done on the same night as the CC meetings. I then bring the items to my house where I discard the trash, wash what needs washing, clean out lunch boxes and then photograph everything.  Up until this point, I was then posting the pictures in the two Facebook groups. Now, I will be posting the pictures to this blog, which will have a link included in the school e-newsletter. My expectation is to add new pictures (and thus a new blog post) every month.
Please note that nothing is donated to an outside party. Any items that go unclaimed are offered to the school nurse as well as 7Gen Lends. Items that remain are offered at the Back to School Gathering in exchange for a donation (of your choice) to the school.

If an item belongs to you, please send me an email with the item number, child's last name and the teacher I should bring the item(s) to.

 Items 5, 6, 7, 8

Again, if any of these items are yours, please email me with the item number and your child's last name and teacher (so I know who to send it in to).
